Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic Opens New Office in Bozeman

RMVC’s philosophy has set them apart in the region for vein care, creating overwhelming patient demand. This demand has resulted in doubling the size of the treatment facility in Billings, as well as now opening the Bozeman office to provide the very best vein care in the region. “Over the past seven years we’ve seen an increased number of patients making the trip from Bozeman, Helena, and other points in Western Montana, to seek treatment at our Billings clinic,” said Dr. Bo Johnson, founder of RMVC. “This reinforces the success of the business model I envisioned when I began RMVC, which is to provide compassionate, personalized patient care in a warm, caring environment.” As the leader in vein care, RMVC continues to look for ways to provide superior quality service to patients in the region. This past year, RMVC began a rural outreach program in one of the fastest growing areas of the state – Sidney, Montana. These monthly clinics provide patients in Sidney and the surrounding areas with access to RMVC’s treatments without having to travel to Billings.

Dr. James L. “Bo” Johnson II, MD, FACS, founder of the Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic, is a board-certified general surgeon and was the first physician in Montana and Wyoming to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. “After having performed minimally invasive vein surgeries since 2004 as a general surgeon, I founded RMVC in 2006 because I saw an overwhelming need for dedicated vein care,” Dr. Johnson said, “I wanted to create a comprehensive, dedicated vein care treatment center based on the principles of providing superior, cutting edge care delivered in a warm, friendly, and caring environment.” Dr. Johnson and staff have completed over 6,000 vein procedures since 2006, a claim no other facility in the region can make.

Everything at RMVC has been designed with the patient’s needs in mind, from the friendly and caring staff, to the warm, comfortable environment. The entire experience has been created to be as relaxing and stress-free as possible. Patients have direct contact with their physician throughout the treatment process. RMVC’s personalized six-step treatment plan ensures that patients receive care, specifically tailored to their unique lifestyle and needs, that will provide long-term solutions to ensure healthy legs. In addition, the comprehensive, educational website, www.rockymountainveinclinic.com provides patients with all the information necessary to partner in determining the best treatment plan for them; including information on vein disease, patient treatment videos, and more.

Demand for Vein Treatment to Increase in Montana

By 2025 Montana will have the third oldest population in the country. While about 50 to 55 percent of women and 40 to 45 percent of men in the United States suffer from some type of vein problem, and varicose veins affect half of people 50 years and older. Early diagnosis, treatment, and management of vein disease are critical for best results. If not diagnosed early, vein disease can lead to more serious complications.

Dr. Johnson believes in providing a team of support for his patients that includes not just his staff, but the patient and their primary care doctor, as well. Primary care doctors and patients are able to access medical records electronically on the RMVC website, www.rockymountainveinclinic.com. This allows Dr. Johnson to communicate directly with his patient’s primary care doctor about the patient’s condition, treatment, and management of venous disease.
