Dr. James L. “Bo” Johnson II MD, MBA, FACS, DABVLM
Dr. Johnson, founder of the Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic, is a board-certified general surgeon and was the first physician in Montana and Wyoming to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He began performing Endovenous Laser Therapy in 2004, and has successfully performed over 6,000 of these endovenous ablation procedures. Dr. Johnson, a third-generation physician, is known for his dedicated and compassionate care of patients and for his medical professionalism. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. Dr. Johnson believes strongly in giving back and dedicates two weeks out of each year to travel to third-world countries to provide a full range of medical care. Dr. Johnson and his wife Deborah, a pharmacist, have four children and reside in Cody, Wyoming.

Dr. Rodney Sirk, MD, RVT, RPHS
Dr. Rodney Sirk was born and raised in West Virginia. Dr. Sirk joined the US Air Force after high school and spent seven years as an enlisted Airman and served as an Aeromedical Evacuation Specialist in Operation Desert Storm. After his honorable discharge in 1991, he attended Marshall University’s School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. After graduation he completed his residency in Family Medicine at Marshall University. He spent the first 10 years of his career working in a hospital setting and offering general medical care. In 2010, Dr. Sirk began his vein care journey and focused solely on phlebology and the treatment of vein disease. Dr. Sirk is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine as well as a member of the American Venous Forum. He also specializes in ultrasound imaging as a Registered Vascular Technologist and a Registered Phlebology Sonographer. As a father of 3 and an avid outdoorsman, Dr. Sirk’s relocation to Great Falls in 2021 has provided an incredible opportunity to enjoy the beauty Montana has to offer as well as make a difference in the lives of Montana patients.

Dr. Michael Orcutt, MD, DABVLM, FACS
Dr. Michael Orcutt is a native Montanan raised on the family farm east of Conrad. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1979, proceeded on with surgical training at the University of Texas San Antonio, and performed his vascular surgery fellowship in Pennsylvania, returning to Northcentral Montana in the mid-’80s. Dr. Orcutt is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine as well as a Fellow of American College of Surgeons. Dr. Orcutt and his wife Lisa live in Great Falls with their two labrador retrievers and love to hunt, fish, camp, and travel.

Jon Lorash
A Montana native, Jon is proud to have been raised just outside of Billings in Joliet. He attended Montana State University-Billings earning a bachelor’s degree in finance followed by a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Montana. With over 20 years of leadership experience, Jon thrives on meeting new people and taking on new challenges. He finds personal and professional fulfillment in knowing he can be part of making a true difference in a patient’s life. When not hard at work, Jon lives life to the fullest with his amazing wife and their four beautiful children. He loves to watch football and basketball, complete DIY projects at home, and has taken on a major labor of love restoring a 1979 convertible beetle.

Sarah Shaw, Registered Nurse, ASN
Sarah attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Montana before completing her studies and graduating from Montana State University – Billings in 2005, with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing (LPN). A member of the American College of Phlebology, Sarah is a native of Billings, and has been with RMVC since August 2006. She returned to school in 2008 to become a Registered Nurse, and graduated in 2010 with an Associate of Science degree in Nursing. She is our resident expert in ensuring the proper selection, sizing, and fit of our compression stockings. She also performs sclerotherapy and assists with RF ablation, Endovenous Laser therapy, and microphlebectomy procedures. She also helps head up our sister company, Avri Laser Aesthetics, in Billings and is a Certified Laser Specialist and Obagi Skin Care Consultant. Sarah enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with her family.

Tana Willems, Medical Assistant
Tana is a native of West Yellowstone, MT. She attended school at Northwestern College in Powell, WY and MSU-Billings. She has worked in the medical field for over 10 years before joining RMVC in March of 2012. In her spare time Tana enjoys reading, baking, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carol Cunningham, Medical Billing Director
An Arizona native, Carol attended Glendale Community College and received an Associate Degree in General Business. In 1981, she and her husband relocated to Billings, Montana. Carol brings over 30-years of experience in insurance and patient billing. She joined the RMVC team in October of 2015. In her spare time, Carol enjoys snowmobiling, four-wheeling, gardening, and attending both Bronco and Avalanche games in Denver, Colorado.

Melanie Tolman, Receptionist
Melanie was born in Dickinson North Dakota. She moved to Billings when she was 8. She attended MSU-B. She has been in the medical field for over 20 plus years working as a receptionist/secretary. She is married with two boys and entourage of animals. Melanie enjoys helping her husband with his business, remodeling her house, arts and crafts of many varieties, camping, fishing and the company of her friends and family.

Jennifer Williams, Physician Assistant
Jennifer graduated from Hastings College in Hastings Nebraska with a B.A. in math and biology. She then attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where she was Valedictorian of her Physician Assistant class. Having grown up in an Air Force family Jennifer was born in Montana, raised in Nebraska and feels most at home in the West. Jennifer loves being able to raise her 3 children in the small-town atmosphere of Cody with her husband Cris, a High School science teacher at Cody High.
Before joining Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic, Jennifer worked as the Physician Assistant with Dr. Steve Mainini at the Cody Clinic. Outside of work, Jennifer is a volunteer health care provider at Heart Mountain Volunteer Clinic and is also a children’s ministry leader at her church.

Deborah Johnson, Pharm D, Clinical Specialist
Deborah graduated from Creighton University in 1992 with a Pharm.D. She has practiced in a variety of settings, including Retail Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy, and as a Clinical Pharmacist on the Renal Transplant Team at the University of Wisconsin. Most recently, she was an Adjunct Professor/Clinical Consultant at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Deborah was involved in the establishment of Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic and is involved in patient care. Much of her time is spent raising four children.

Shana Weiss, Medical Assistant
Shana is a native of Muskegon, Michigan where she graduated from Ross Medical Education Center as a Medical Assistant in 2010. She moved to Cody shortly after and joined our team. Shana is a Certified Laser Specialist and also assists Dr. Johnson with Endovenous Laser Therapy and Radiofrequency Ablation. Her hobbies include hiking, photographing wildlife, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.

Angela Nelson, Office Coordinator
Angie is a native of Northern Montana, but relocated to Cody, Wyoming, in 2006. She has many years of experience working within the medical communities of Cody and Powell, Wyoming. Angie joined RMVC in June of 2012, and is enjoying the opportunity to learn a new aspect of medicine. Her hobbies include camping, four-wheeling, spending time with her family, and reading.

Janelle Bowden, Nurse Practitioner
Janelle was born and raised in Cut Bank, Montana. She earned her first bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Montana State University in 2010 and then moved to Utah to work as a physical therapy aid while her husband attended school. Her love for Montana brought her and her husband back to Bozeman in 2012. She returned to school in 2015 attending Montana State University’s accelerated nursing program, earning her Nursing degree in 2016. She then worked as a public health nurse for the Park County Health Department in Livingston, Montana for 4 years while simultaneously attending Nurse Practitioner school at MSU. She earned her Doctor of Nursing practice degree and became board certified in 2020. Before joining Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic, Janelle worked at Alluvion Health’s school-based health center in Great Falls practicing family medicine. Janelle’s hobbies include four-wheeling with her husband and daughter, running or walking with her dog, going on vacations, watching Disney movies, and serving in her church.

Teysha Hughes, Medical Assistant
Teysha is a medical assistant at Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic, she joined the team in the beginning of 2021. Born and raised in Great Falls Teysha has always had a passion for helping people and enjoys making a difference. She loves learning about the Human body and is always open to expanding her knowledge in the healthcare field. Teysha is a certified nursing assistant and has taken many courses relating to healthcare including medical terminology, human biology, pharmacology and fundamental of nursing. Outside of work she spends her time watching food network and playing with her kids.

Taylor Matye, Office Coordinator
Taylor is a native of Montana. She grew up in Great Falls. After graduating from CMR High School, Taylor attended Purdue Global University. She graduated from Purdue with a Certificate in Medical Assisting. After graduating Taylor became a registered medical assistant with American Medical Technologists and went to work in family medicine. After working in the medical field for 3 years Taylor became a certified dermatology technician. Taylor joined the Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic team in April of 2021. In her spare time Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and family, barrel racing, fishing, camping and being outdoors.

Roxanne Miller, Receptionist
Roxanne is a Kansas native but a Montanan at heart. Roxanne and her husband are parents to a blended family of 7 children. She has worked in the Medical field for the several years as a scheduler and case manager. She is excited to learn all of the new aspects of any medical field.She joined the Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic team in early 2021. Her hobbies are beading, reading, fishing, hunting, taking trips to new areas anywhere in the United States and spending time with her family.
Ultrasound Associates

Michelle Dillon, RVT RDMS RDCS RT(R)
Michelle is a native of Billings. She attended ultrasound school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has been registered in ultrasound since 1991 and holds registries in Vascular Ultrasound, Adult Echocardiography, Abdomen, and OB/Gyn. She lives in Billings with her husband Jerry and their four boys. Michelle is the owner of Big Sky Ultrasound LLC, which specializes in vascular ultrasound screening and provides all the ultrasound services for Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic in both Montana and Wyoming.

Jona Brown, Ultrasound Technologist
Jona was born and raised in Great Falls. She is a mother of two and grandmother to three beautiful girls. She has worked in medical field for the past seven years as a scheduler. Wanting to do more in medical field, she finished CNA classes and did some home health care. She likes to watch and play all sports but loves spending most of her time with her children and granddaughters.

Amber Rittal - BSRT(R) M CT, RDCS
Amber was born and raised in eastern Montana. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Minot State University and has worked in healthcare since 1995 as a radiologic technologist and sonographer. She started with Big Sky Ultrasound and Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic in 2011. Amber enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin near Flathead Lake, hiking in Glacier Park, skiing, boating, reading, and antique shopping.

Abby Craig, RVT
Abby was raised in Cottonwood, Arizona. She obtained a B.S. in Athletic Training from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and an A.S. in Cardiovascular Technology for Vascular Ultrasound from Grossmont College in San Diego, California. From 2008-2016 Abby worked at Banner Bosewell Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona as a Registered Vascular Ultrasound Technologist. She joined Rocky Mountain Vein Clinic in 2016. Abby enjoys reading, photography, hiking, learning to play the violin, exploring the world through travel and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Melody Lee, RVT
Melody is a registered vascular technician at Big Sky Ultrasound, she joined the team in the beginning of 2020. She attended Spokane Community College for an associate in Applied Science-Vascular Technology and moved to Billings Montana in 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking public trailheads or fishing the Yellowstone river. She is also passionate about helping animals.

Katie Fergen, RVT
Katie was born and raised in South Dakota and graduated from Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls with an Associate Degree in 2008. She’s married to a Montana native, is mother to 3 amazing kids, and currently lives in Great Falls. When not taking excellent care of her patients, Katie loves Montana summers on the boat, shopping, and sampling amazing restaurant fare.
